Rosie receptionist alternatives and pricing

The short answer

Rosie’s plans are $49 a month for 250 minutes, $149 for 1,000 and $299 for 2,000. There’s no per-minute overage: go over and you’re moved up to the next plan, and each call rounds up to the next 60 seconds. RingReady is flat with unlimited minutes, Goodcall bills per customer, Smith.ai adds live agents, Allo is a team phone system, and CoveDesk is run for you.

Rosie (heyrosie.com) starts at $49, and what you get changes by plan: on $49 a caller gets a scheduling link rather than a booking, and warm and live transfers start at $149. Here’s the full picture from its own pages, the side-by-side with CoveDesk, and what else to look at.

  • RingReady: Flat pricing with unlimited minutes, if being moved up a plan in a busy month is what’s bothering you. From $49/month: unlimited calls and minutes, as published.

Rosie pricing

Rosie plans, as published on its pricing page (opens in a new tab) on November 3, 2026
PlanPriceIncludesExtra use
Professional$49/month250 minutes, 2 message scenarios, scheduling links by textNo per-minute rate; you move up a plan
Scale$149/month1,000 minutes, 5 message scenarios, direct calendar booking, warm and live transfers, texts during callsNo per-minute rate; you move up a plan
Growth$299/month2,000 minutes, unlimited message scenarios, waterfall transfers, training from your documents, white-glove onboardingAsk about a custom plan

That’s about 20 cents a minute on Professional and about 15 on Scale and Growth. There’s no per-minute rate for going over: its pricing FAQ says you’re moved up to the next plan at that plan’s price, and its terms say a higher plan. Its terms set a subscription that renews every 30 days, while a 2025 help article says you’re billed on the same day each month. Website chat is free on every plan; website texting is a $50-a-month add-on with 25 conversations, then $1 each. Billed yearly, the plans are $490, $1,490 and $2,990, shown as $41, $124 and $249 a month.

Stay with Rosie if

  • You need Spanish today. Rosie handles English and Spanish on every call and every plan. CoveDesk doesn’t offer it yet.
  • You want a low price per minute. About 15 cents on its two larger plans, and it publishes them for anyone to read.
  • You run on Jobber or Housecall Pro. It has guides for both at no added cost, and its Jobber connection logs calls and new callers. CoveDesk has no job software connection yet.
  • You want to try it free. Seven days on any plan, with the first charge when the week ends. Our free 14-day pilot is set up with you by our team, and there’s a refund window after it.

What happens if you go over your Rosie minutes?

There’s no per-minute charge. Its pricing FAQ says you get warning emails near the limit. Go over and you’re moved up to the next plan at that plan’s price, and you stay there until you change it back. Three things to read before you sign:

  • A small overrun is a $100 step. A few minutes past 250 on Professional puts you on Scale at $149, with 750 more minutes than you may need that month.
  • Its pages differ on how fast you can come back down. The FAQ says you can downgrade anytime, starting with your next billing cycle. The terms say a change that raises your fees applies to the current period and at least the next two. Read that way, one busy week could cost up to $300 more over three periods, so ask which applies.
  • Its January 2025 cancel article still mentions overages. It says you’re charged for minutes over your plan in your last month. The FAQ and terms describe only the move up a plan.

What the same month costs

Worked out from each company’s published list prices: the cheapest plan or plan plus extras that covers the month, lowest first at 250 minutes. For companies that bill by the call we count one call as 2.5 minutes, which is the ratio PATLive’s own pages use. These are our sums, not quotes, and they leave out tax and one-time fees.

Why owners look past Rosie

  • Short calls round up. Its terms round every call up to the next 60 seconds, so a 10-second wrong number uses a full minute of your plan. Spam settings keep spam from using minutes.
  • The $49 plan leaves out a lot. Warm and live transfers, direct calendar booking and texting during a call are listed from Scale at $149. On Professional a caller gets a link and books themselves.
  • Job software notes, not jobs. Its Jobber connection adds a note to the client record and creates new clients, but doesn’t create jobs or book them. We saw no ServiceTitan article.
  • Your call data. Every call is recorded and transcribed, and recordings are deleted after 30 days. Read its terms for how it can use your data.

Where CoveDesk is different

  • Setup is included at any size. Rosie lists white-glove onboarding only on its $299 Growth plan. On CoveDesk our team does all of it, and there’s no setup fee.
  • Short calls stay short. We add up your seconds over the month and round once. Rosie rounds each call up to the next 60 seconds.
  • Missed-call texts are in the plan. Rosie can text a link to a caller, but no text for missed calls is described on the pages we read.
  • What you give up. Spanish, booking on the call, and a free week to test. A voice assistant answers on both, and with us callers hear a short notice first.

Switching from Rosie

Before you cancel anything, forward your calls to the new service and make three test calls of your own: a new customer, an urgent problem and a wrong number.

How we checked this

We make CoveDesk, so we’re not neutral, and this page isn’t a review. Everything about Rosie comes from its own website, read on November 3, 2026, with the pages linked below. We haven’t bought its service, and we don’t quote ratings or anyone’s opinion as fact. Where we couldn’t find a fact, we say so instead of guessing, and “not mentioned” means not on the pages we read, which isn’t a search of its whole site.

Common questions

How much does Rosie cost a month?
Its pricing page listed Professional at $49 a month for 250 minutes, Scale at $149 for 1,000 and Growth at $299 for 2,000 on November 3, 2026. All three have a 7-day free trial. Website texting is an optional add-on at $50 a month.
Does Rosie have unlimited minutes?
Not on its current plans. Each has a set number of minutes, up to 2,000 on Growth. Its terms keep an older Unlimited Minutes plan only for people who subscribed before February 5, 2026. If you want unlimited minutes, RingReady sells that at a flat price.
Which Rosie plan includes call transfers?
Its pricing page lists warm and live transfers from Scale at $149, and waterfall transfers, which try a list of numbers until someone accepts, on Growth at $299. Its home page mentions warm and cold transfers without tying them to a plan, so check what you’d get on Professional.
Does Rosie work with Jobber?
Yes, with limits. Its help article says each call, text or chat adds a note to the client record and new callers become new clients. It doesn’t create jobs or book them. It also has articles for Housecall Pro and Workiz, and we saw none for ServiceTitan.
Can I keep my number if I leave Rosie?
If you forward your own number, it never left your phone company, so yes: turn forwarding off. Its terms also describe hosting a number for you. In that case, port it back within three months of your subscription ending, because after that Rosie may release or reassign it.
How do I cancel Rosie?
From your admin, under billing, choose Cancel plan. You keep access until the end of the current billing period, and there’s no cancellation fee. Its terms say payments aren’t refunded. You then have 30 days to download your data before Rosie deletes it.
Is CoveDesk a live receptionist service?
No. CoveDesk is a phone answering service: a trained voice assistant, set up and run by our team, that picks up in your business’s name at any hour. Callers hear a short notice at the start of the call.
