Dapta alternatives and pricing

The short answer

Dapta sells credits, not minutes: Pro is $99 a month for 100,000 credits, or about 300 answered minutes, Scale Up $499 for 500,000 and Prime $1,499 for 1.5 million. Its terms describe a 12-month term while its docs describe cancelling any time. Goodcall, Dialzara, Rosie and Upfirst price answering by customer, minute or call, and CoveDesk is built and run for you.

Dapta isn’t an answering service you sign up for so much as a toolkit for building one: agents and flows that you put together on its platform, mostly for sales and customer teams. If you landed here looking for someone to pick up your phone, here’s what its credits come to in minutes, the side-by-side with CoveDesk, and simpler routes.

Updated November 3, 2026. CoveDesk is one of the services on this page; other companies’ prices and features are from their own websites, linked below.

Dapta alternatives, by what you need

  • Goodcall: Also a build-it-yourself agent, but you do it by describing changes in plain words, and it’s priced by caller rather than credits. From $79/month: 100 unique customers, as published.
  • Dialzara: A ready-made phone agent with listed minutes, and a separate outbound product if that’s why you looked at Dapta. From $29/month: 60 minutes, as published.
  • CoveDesk (that’s us): if you want calls picked up, missed callers texted, and your Google profile and website looked after, all set up and run for you. Not live receptionists. Front Desk is $249/mo with 250 minutes. Free 14-day pilot.
  • Rosie: English and Spanish on every call, trained from your Google profile and website, so there’s little to assemble. From $49/month: 250 minutes, as published.
  • Upfirst: Pay by the call with no credit math, and a free onboarding call during its trial. From $24.95/month: 30 calls, as published.
  • My AI Front Desk: Calls, texts, email and web chat ready-made in one plan, if you liked Dapta’s range but not the building. From $99/month: 200 voice minutes, as published.
  • Smith.ai: Its own teams handle deployment on larger plans, with live agents if some calls need a person. From $0/month: 25 calls answered by software, as published.

Dapta pricing

Dapta plans, as published on its pricing page (opens in a new tab) on November 3, 2026
PlanPriceIncludesExtra use
Free$0/monthsignup credits (2,000 on one page of its site, 7,000 on another), 1 agent, 2 flowsNot listed
Pro$99/month100K credits, unlimited agents and flows, 5 users, self-service$1 per 1,000 credits
Scale Up$499/month500K credits, assisted onboarding, 4 one-on-one tech sessions a month$1 per 1,000 credits
Prime$1,499/month1.5M credits, implementation help, dedicated account manager$1 per 1,000 credits

An answered call uses 333 credits a minute and 1,000 credits are $1, so a minute is about 33 cents. Its docs put that at about 300 minutes on Pro, 1,500 on Scale Up and 4,500 on Prime, before anything else draws on the credits, such as a phone number at about 1,380 credits a month. Bigger plans buy features rather than cheaper minutes. Prices shown are monthly; its docs say yearly billing is 16.7% cheaper. The Free plan isn’t on the pricing page, and Custom pricing is through sales.

Stay with Dapta if

  • You want to shape the whole thing. Unlimited agents and flows on Pro, for sales, support or collections as well as answering. CoveDesk is one service, run by us.
  • You need text and WhatsApp agents. Voice is one part of what it does. CoveDesk answers calls and sends missed-call texts.
  • You need English and Spanish. A page on its site lists bilingual English and Spanish agents. CoveDesk has no Spanish yet.
  • You want to start at $0. A free account with credits lets you experiment, and there’s a 7-day Pro trial. We have a free 14-day pilot but no free plan.

Is Dapta month to month or a 12-month contract?

Its own pages give two answers, and we can’t tell from reading them which one governs a self-serve plan:

  • Its docs say you can leave. Choose Cancel Plan and the plan runs to the end of the paid period, then stops renewing. Its pricing page shows monthly prices, and its docs offer monthly or yearly billing.
  • Its terms say 12 months. The terms and conditions dated October 2026 start with a 12-month term that renews for another 12 unless you give written notice at least 30 days before the end. The order form attached to them lists Pro at $99 a month.
  • Get it in writing. Before you pay, ask Dapta which one applies to your plan, and keep the answer.

Why owners look past Dapta

  • You’re building, not buying. Customers put together their own agents and flows. Features such as a missed-call text and review requests appear on its home-services page as uses, and how they’d get built isn’t stated.
  • Partial minutes round up. A call of 1 minute 20 seconds bills as 2 minutes, or 666 credits, about 67 cents. Voicemails use credits too, as do texts at up to 40 credits an answer, and its docs and terms differ on whether unanswered calls do.
  • Its pages differ on job software. Its home-services page names ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and FieldPulse, and its integrations page lists none of them. How they’d connect isn’t stated.
  • Help starts at $499. Pro is self-service, and fully assisted onboarding begins on Scale Up. Its terms put extra setup or custom integrations under separate paid work.

Where CoveDesk is different

  • Nothing to assemble. You don’t design agents or flows. Our team does the setup and running, in your business’s name.
  • Priced in things you already understand. Minutes, not credits, with seconds added over the month and rounded once rather than rounded up on each call. Front Desk is month to month.
  • Your Google profile and website. Done for you, at extra cost or in the Front Office plan. Dapta’s website tools are a chat widget and booking pages.
  • What you give up. Control. You can’t build your own flows, connect job software or book on the call with us, and every caller hears a short notice first.

Switching from Dapta

  • Cancel under Billing & Plans, then Plans, then Cancel Plan. The plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for and doesn’t renew. Trial users have to cancel before day 7 ends. Source: Dapta’s terms (opens in a new tab)
  • Remaining credits, plan or purchased, expire when the plan ends and aren’t refunded, so use them first. The account drops to the Free plan with 2,000 courtesy credits, and your agents and data stay. Source: Dapta’s terms (opens in a new tab)
  • A number you bought through Dapta stays in the account after you cancel, but calls on it still need credits. Tell support if you want to keep it active. Its cancel page doesn’t describe moving it elsewhere. Source: Dapta’s terms (opens in a new tab)
  • Its refund page says the rest of a monthly or yearly period isn’t refunded. Refunds are for mistakes such as a duplicate charge, and it asks you to write in before disputing a charge with your bank. Source: Dapta’s terms (opens in a new tab)
  • Its terms, dated October 2026, set a 12-month term that renews unless you give written notice 30 days before the end, and allow fee changes on 60 days’ notice before a renewal. Source: Dapta’s terms (opens in a new tab)

Before you cancel anything, forward your calls to the new service and make three test calls of your own: a new customer, an urgent problem and a wrong number.

How we checked this

We make CoveDesk, so we’re not neutral, and this page isn’t a review. Everything about Dapta comes from its own website, read on November 3, 2026, with the pages linked below. We haven’t bought its service, and we don’t quote ratings or anyone’s opinion as fact. Where we couldn’t find a fact, we say so instead of guessing, and “not mentioned” means not on the pages we read, which isn’t a search of its whole site.

Common questions

How much does Dapta cost?
Its pricing page listed Pro at $99 a month for 100,000 credits, Scale Up at $499 for 500,000 and Prime at $1,499 for 1.5 million on November 3, 2026. Custom is through sales. Extra credits are $1 per 1,000, according to its docs.
How many minutes do you get with Dapta?
Its docs put an answered minute at 333 credits, which is about 300 minutes on Pro, 1,500 on Scale Up and 4,500 on Prime. That’s before a phone number, voicemails, texts or other use draw on the same credits, and each started minute counts in full.
Does Dapta have a free plan?
Yes, with credits rather than a time limit, though the pricing page doesn’t show it as a column. Its docs say 7,000 credits on signup, and its home-services page says 2,000. Separately, Pro has a 7-day trial with a card on file, charged on day 7 unless you cancel.
Can Dapta book appointments and transfer calls?
Its home-services page says agents book into the calendar and send reminders, while its integrations page lists no outside calendar and its own Calendar product is marked coming soon. Handing off to a person is listed as a core feature, without details of how it works.
Who is Dapta for?
Its pages speak to sales, operations, marketing, HR and collections teams at small and mid-sized businesses, with industry pages including home services and law firms. If you only need your phone answered, you’d be using part of a bigger toolkit.
How do I cancel Dapta?
Go to Billing & Plans, then Plans, then Cancel Plan. The plan runs to the end of the paid period, and remaining credits then expire without a refund. Its terms also describe a 12-month term with 30 days’ notice, so confirm with Dapta that the simple route applies to you.
Is CoveDesk a live receptionist service?
No. CoveDesk is a phone answering service: a trained voice assistant, set up and run by our team, that picks up in your business’s name at any hour. Callers hear a short notice at the start of the call.
