My AI Front Desk alternatives and pricing

The short answer

My AI Front Desk, now branded Frontdesk, has one public plan: Business-in-a-Box at $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly, with 200 voice minutes and 1,000 credits for extra use, where a voice minute costs 25 credits, or $0.25. Rosie and Dialzara bill by the minute, Goodcall per customer, Smith.ai adds live agents, and CoveDesk is run for you.

My AI Front Desk now calls itself Frontdesk on its own site, at the same address. It’s the all-channels option here: one plan with calls, texts, email and web chat, paid for with an allowance and a pool of credits. Here’s what those credits mean in dollars, how it compares with CoveDesk, and what else there is.

Updated November 3, 2026. CoveDesk is one of the services on this page; other companies’ prices and features are from their own websites, linked below.

We left its white-label reseller offer out of this table.

Stay with My AI Front Desk if

  • You want every channel in one place. Calls, texts, email and web chat share one memory of each customer. CoveDesk answers the phone and sends missed-call texts.
  • Calls should go to a particular person. Transfer rules work by intent, keyword, hour or caller, including an on-call technician. Urgent CoveDesk calls come to the owner only.
  • You want booking during the call. Google Calendar, Outlook or Cal.com. CoveDesk takes details for a callback.
  • You want Spanish and a free week. Spanish is on its language page, and there’s a 7-day trial. CoveDesk has no Spanish yet.

What does a month cost once the credits run out?

Worked from its published credit rates, on the monthly price, if you only use voice:

  • 200 minutes. $99, all from the plan’s allowance.
  • 240 minutes. Still $99. The 1,000 monthly credits cover the extra 40.
  • 300 minutes. $114: 60 more minutes at $0.25.
  • 500 minutes. $164: 260 more minutes at $0.25.
  • Texts draw on the same credits. Every 100 texts past your 400 use 400 credits, which is 16 voice minutes.

Billed yearly, the plan is $948 a year against $1,188 month by month, and fees are generally not refunded.

Why owners look past My AI Front Desk

  • One plan, then a big gap. There’s Business-in-a-Box, then a custom tier with no public price. If 200 voice minutes doesn’t fit, you pay credits rather than step up to a plan listed in dollars.
  • Credits take some reading. The included pool expires each month, credits you buy don’t, and each channel draws at its own rate: 25 for a voice minute, 4 for a text, 5 for a web chat. If voice is all you use, the first 240 minutes cost about 41 cents each at the monthly price.
  • More product than you may want. Texts, email drafts, form leads, a customer list and outbound calls are all part of the plan. If you just want the phone answered, there’s more to set up and watch.
  • Its pages don’t all agree. The pricing FAQ says no permanently free plan while the home page mentions one with limited usage, and the language count runs from 10 to 20+. Ask about whichever matters to you.

Where CoveDesk is different

  • One meter. You get a phone answered and a monthly bill in minutes, with no credit pool to keep track of. Seconds are added over the month and rounded once.
  • Our team does the setup. Its plan has you enter your website and forward your number, with white-glove onboarding kept for its custom tier. We set up CoveDesk and run it for you.
  • Your website gets built for you. It lists a website builder for you to use. Ours is done for you, at extra cost or in the Front Office plan, along with Google profile care.
  • What you give up. Email, chat, transfer rules, calendar booking and Spanish. Callers on CoveDesk hear a short notice before anything else.

Switching from My AI Front Desk

Before you cancel anything, forward your calls to the new service and make three test calls of your own: a new customer, an urgent problem and a wrong number.

How we checked this

We make CoveDesk, so we’re not neutral, and this page isn’t a review. Everything about My AI Front Desk comes from its own website, read on November 3, 2026, with the pages linked below. We haven’t bought its service, and we don’t quote ratings or anyone’s opinion as fact. Where we couldn’t find a fact, we say so instead of guessing, and “not mentioned” means not on the pages we read, which isn’t a search of its whole site.

Common questions

Is My AI Front Desk the same as Frontdesk?
Yes, as far as its own site shows. The address is still myaifrontdesk.com, and the site now says Frontdesk throughout. The Business-in-a-Box plan and its $99 price carried over.
How much does My AI Front Desk cost?
Business-in-a-Box was $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly, on November 3, 2026. It includes 200 voice minutes, 400 texts, 100 web chats, 500 email drafts and 1,000 credits for extra use. Partner and Enterprise pricing is custom.
Does My AI Front Desk have a free plan?
Its own pages differ. The pricing FAQ says there’s no permanently free plan, and the home page mentions a Free plan with limited usage. What it clearly offers is a 7-day free trial of Business-in-a-Box, and its terms say usage fees can still apply during a trial, so ask what you’d owe.
How do My AI Front Desk credits work?
One credit is a cent. A voice minute uses 25, a text 4, a web chat 5 and a form lead 4. You get 1,000 a month that expire at month’s end, and you can auto-reload at $10 per 1,000, which don’t expire. Rounding and spam handling aren’t stated.
Can I keep my number if I leave My AI Front Desk?
Yes if you’ve been forwarding your existing business number, which is how its home page describes setup. Turn forwarding off and your callers reach you as before. Its terms don’t cover any number it provides, so ask before you publish one.
How do I cancel My AI Front Desk?
In your Account settings, or by contacting customer service. Access runs to the end of the current billing period. Its terms say refunds generally aren’t provided, with exceptions at its discretion, and the plan renews on its own until you cancel.
Is CoveDesk a live receptionist service?
No. CoveDesk is a phone answering service: a trained voice assistant, set up and run by our team, that picks up in your business’s name at any hour. Callers hear a short notice at the start of the call.
