Common questions

What should an invoice include?
The word “Invoice”, a unique number and the date; your business name, contact details and license number; the customer’s name and the job address; each part, material and block of labor with quantity and price; sales tax; the total; the due date; and how to pay.
How do I create an invoice for my business?
Fill in your details and the customer’s, give the invoice the next number in your sequence, list the work line by line with prices, add sales tax if it applies, set a due date and payment terms, then print it or save it as a PDF and send it. Keep a copy for your books.
Is this invoice template free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and nothing stored.
How should I number invoices?
Any system works as long as each number is used once and they go in order, like 1001, 1002, 1003. Some owners add the year: 2026-001.
What payment terms should I use?
Many businesses ask for payment on completion from individual customers, and 15 or 30 days from other businesses. Write the terms on every invoice.
Can I add my logo?
Not in this template. It prints your business name at the top in bold, which is all an invoice needs.
