Apple Business Connect is now Apple Business: get on Apple Maps

The short answer

Apple Business Connect is now Apple Business, a free service from Apple that combines it with Apple’s other business tools. It’s where you manage how your business looks on Apple Maps: name, hours, phone, photos and actions. To start, go to business.apple.com, sign up, verify your organization with two forms of proof, and add your location. Apple says verification takes up to five business days.

People who search in Apple Maps won’t see your Google profile, so it’s worth claiming your place there too. Apple renamed its tool this year, so older guides are out of date. Here’s what it is now and how to set it up.

What changed

Apple announced (opens in a new tab) on March 24, 2026 that Apple Business would replace Apple Business Connect, Apple Business Manager and Apple Business Essentials, starting April 14. It’s described as a free service, and Business Connect data moves over by itself. The old address now goes to business.apple.com.

How to get on Apple Maps

  1. Go to business.apple.com and sign up. New sign-ups create an administrator account with your real name, using an email that isn’t already an Apple Account. Don’t use it for the App Store or iCloud.
  2. Verify your organization. Apple asks for two (opens in a new tab) of these: a business ID (D-U-N-S or EIN), a domain check, App Store Connect, or official documents such as a business license, a lease or a utility bill.
  3. Wait for the review, which Apple says takes up to five business days. You’ve got 60 days to finish, or the organization and its data are deleted.
  4. Add your location and details, using the exact name, address and phone on your Google profile.

Used Business Connect with a personal Apple Account? Apple says you can keep it, limited to brand and location management, or create an Apple Account for Work. Apple doesn’t say on these pages whether sole proprietors qualify, so try it, and use your EIN or documents if you’ve got them.

What you can change

  • Your logo, cover photo, display name and About text
  • Address, hours and special hours, phone and website
  • Categories: one primary, plus up to 19 others
  • Action buttons on your listing
  • Showcases, a spot on your place card for offers and news

Showcases (opens in a new tab) take a headline of 38 characters, 100 characters of body text, an image and a button. They run for up to 365 days, and Apple reviews each one, within three calendar days.

What it costs

Apple calls the platform free. Its paid extras include iCloud storage for staff, AppleCare+ for Business, and ads on Apple Maps in the US and Canada. You don’t need those for a Maps listing. Our free business listings guide covers the others worth claiming, including Bing Places.
