Cleaning checklist template for homes, offices and move-outs

The short answer

A good cleaning checklist goes room by room, so nothing gets missed and every cleaner does the job the same way. Choose house, move-out, office or commercial, change any task to suit your service, add your business name and print it or save a PDF. Use it as a sign-off sheet, or hand it to customers to show what’s included.

Built for cleaning businesses and handy for anyone else. Change the tasks to match what you sell, and you’ve also got a clear answer to “what’s included?”

How it works

How cleaning businesses use a checklist

  • Training: a new cleaner has the whole job on one page.
  • Quality: the person who checks can sign the same sheet.
  • Customers: it shows what’s included, and what would be extra.
  • Pricing: once you know the tasks, time them for the pricing calculator.

Regular or deep?

Keep two lists, because a deep clean is the regular list plus things like baseboards, inside appliances and vents. Selling both? Put the details in a cleaning contract.

Common questions

What should be on a house cleaning checklist?
Go room by room: kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas. Then a final walkthrough. The house preset above is a good place to start.
What’s on a move-out cleaning checklist?
Everything on a regular clean, plus inside the oven, refrigerator, cabinets and closets, along with baseboards, doors and windows. Check the lease or the landlord’s list as well.
What should be on an office cleaning checklist?
Trash, desks, restrooms and supplies, the break room and entry glass, plus locking up. Choose the Office preset.
Can I add my logo?
Not in this template. It prints your business name at the top.
Is this template free?
Yes. No sign-up and no watermark. It runs in your browser, so nothing you type is stored or sent to us. Print it or save it as a PDF before you close the page.
