ServiceTitan Voice Agent alternatives and per-call cost

The short answer

ServiceTitan doesn’t publish its software price, but its Voice Agent add-on is $2.75 per call, with every call billed whatever the outcome: $275 at 100 calls. You keep ServiceTitan either way. Other routes to the same calls: PATLive and Moneypenny with people, Abby Connect with people and software, Upfirst with software, and CoveDesk, a voice assistant our team runs.

ServiceTitan’s Voice Agent is a per-call add-on to job software whose own price isn’t published. You keep ServiceTitan either way: nothing here replaces dispatch or your pricebook. This page works out what the add-on costs in a month and what booking needs, then shows other ways to cover the phones.

Updated November 3, 2026. CoveDesk is one of the services on this page; other companies’ prices and features are from their own websites, linked below.

ServiceTitan alternatives, by what you need

  • Abby Connect: The closest link we found outside ServiceTitan: its software offers arrival windows from live capacity and creates the job on the dispatch board. Its page doesn’t say its people do this. From $164/month: 50 Abby Minutes, as published.
  • PATLive: People on every call, with ServiceTitan named among its native connections, if you want a person and not a voice agent after hours. From $49/month: no minutes included, as published.
  • CoveDesk (that’s us): if you want calls picked up, missed callers texted, and your Google profile and website looked after, all set up and run for you. Not live receptionists. Front Desk is $249/mo with 250 minutes. Free 14-day pilot.
  • Moneypenny: People, software or both, and its home-services page names ServiceTitan. Connections can be native, through Zapier or by direct link, so ask which. From $165/month: 50 minutes with a person answering, as published.
  • Smith.ai: Also billed per call, with people or software, and its home-services page points to a ServiceTitan integration page. From $0/month: 25 calls answered by software, as published.
  • Upfirst: A lower cost per call, and spam and very short calls aren’t billed. Its HVAC page says it can sync with ServiceTitan through Zapier, not book against capacity. From $24.95/month: 30 calls, as published.

ServiceTitan publishes no price for the software the Voice Agent sits on: its pricing page says Request Pricing on every package. Per-technician figures you may see quoted are other companies’ estimates. So the cost table counts the Voice Agent alone, which you’d add to a ServiceTitan bill you already have. Its help page names The Essentials and The Works packages with Basic Phones or Phones Pro; a ServiceTitan blog says it also works with Contact Center Pro or a third-party phone system. Lower rates exist for volume or commitment, with no amounts given.

Stay with ServiceTitan if

  • You want jobs booked against real capacity. It uses Adaptive Capacity to book new jobs and can reschedule or confirm. CoveDesk takes the details for a callback.
  • You want it to know the caller. It reads your ServiceTitan customers and members while it talks. CoveDesk can’t see ServiceTitan.
  • You get Spanish calls. It switches over when the caller speaks Spanish. CoveDesk doesn’t offer Spanish yet.
  • You have a team to hand off to. It passes calls to a live agent on request or on frustration, and can alert a technician on after-hours jobs. CoveDesk reaches the owner, with no on-call rotation.
  • Your calls come in bursts. With no minimum, a quiet month costs only the calls it took, and it can sit behind your own staff for overflow.

What does ServiceTitan’s Voice Agent cost in a month, and what does booking need?

  • 40 calls. 40 × $2.75 = $110.
  • 100 calls. 100 × $2.75 = $275.
  • 200 calls. 200 × $2.75 = $550.

Those are add-on costs alone, and they count every call that reaches it. If 1 call in 5 is a hang-up or wrong number, $55 of the $275 month is for those. It only sees the calls you send it, so a shop that routes overflow and after-hours calls pays for those and not for what staff answer. The rate is locked for 12 months.

To book rather than take messages, you need these in place:

  • The forwarding number. Set up in phone settings, and routed in from your phones. Don’t give it to customers: direct calls to it don’t show in ServiceTitan Search.
  • A setting that says book. An account setting chooses between booking jobs and taking a message.
  • Capacity. It strongly recommends Adaptive Capacity. Without it, the agent falls back on what ServiceTitan calls natural capacity.
  • Job type permissions. Book, Reschedule and Cancel are switched on per job type, and the matching capability has to be on as well. Cancelling starts off.

Can you use CoveDesk with ServiceTitan?

Yes, if you’re happy with a person entering the work. ServiceTitan stays your system for dispatch and invoices. You forward calls to CoveDesk and details come to you by text. There’s no link between them yet: CoveDesk doesn’t read your capacity or customers, and no call, customer or job lands in ServiceTitan by itself. For most ServiceTitan shops that’s a real limit, and the Voice Agent’s native booking is the stronger answer if booked jobs are the goal.

What the same month costs

Worked out from each company’s published list prices: the cheapest plan or plan plus extras that covers the month, lowest first at 250 minutes. For companies that bill by the call we count one call as 2.5 minutes, which is the ratio PATLive’s own pages use. These are our sums, not quotes, and they leave out tax and one-time fees.

Why owners look past ServiceTitan

  • Every call counts. Its help page says all calls are billed whatever the outcome or the caller’s intent, so hang-ups and wrong numbers that reach it cost the same as a booked job. Its setup guide says test calls are billed too.
  • You can’t see the whole bill first. The agent has a public rate, but the software, phones and Pro products under it don’t.
  • What it needs isn’t consistent. Its help page names specific packages and phone products, and a blog says it also works with a third-party phone system. Ask what applies to your account before you plan around it.

Where CoveDesk is different

  • Run by our team. You don’t configure job types, capacity and skills. We set it up and keep it running.
  • Billed by the second, not the call. Seconds add up over the month and round once, so a hang-up doesn’t cost the same as a long booking call. A long call costs more than it would per call.
  • Outside any one software. It doesn’t ask which package or phone product you have, because it works by call forwarding.
  • What you give up. It can’t see your schedule or book, it can’t write to ServiceTitan, and it has no Spanish. For a shop that lives in ServiceTitan, those are real losses.

Switching from ServiceTitan

Before you cancel anything, forward your calls to the new service and make three test calls of your own: a new customer, an urgent problem and a wrong number.

How we checked this

We make CoveDesk, so we’re not neutral, and this page isn’t a review. Everything about ServiceTitan comes from its own website, read on November 3, 2026, with the pages linked below. We haven’t bought its service, and we don’t quote ratings or anyone’s opinion as fact. Where we couldn’t find a fact, we say so instead of guessing, and “not mentioned” means not on the pages we read, which isn’t a search of its whole site.

Common questions

How much does ServiceTitan cost a month?
ServiceTitan doesn’t publish it. Its pricing page shows Starter, Essentials and The Works with Request Pricing on each. Per-technician figures you’ll see elsewhere come from other companies, so treat them as estimates and get a quote. The one public number we found for answering is the Voice Agent’s rate.
How much does a voice agent cost?
ServiceTitan’s is $2.75 per call, billed monthly with no minimum and a 12-month rate lock, and its text agent is $0.10 per message. ServiceTitan mentions lower rates for volume or commitment without amounts. It sits on top of the software, which has no public price.
What are some alternatives to ServiceTitan?
For answering, you don’t need to replace it. Abby Connect, PATLive and Moneypenny all name it, and Smith.ai points to an integration page. If you’re rethinking the software too, Jobber, Housecall Pro, Workiz and QuoteIQ also sell answering with their job software, and we have a page on each.
Does ServiceTitan’s Voice Agent work if I keep my current phones?
Its overview says you get a dedicated number to add to your current phone system’s call routes, for overflow, after hours or outages. Its help page names Basic Phones or Phones Pro, while a blog says third-party systems work too. Ask which applies before you count on it.
Can I keep my number if I leave ServiceTitan?
Yes, if you act before the subscription ends. Its terms say you can port numbers out at any time without a port-out fee, but you may lose them permanently if you haven’t moved them by the time your phone subscription ends.
How do I cancel ServiceTitan’s Voice Agent?
Its terms say add-ons renew unless you cancel before the renewal date, with requests sent to billing@servicetitan.com. The Voice Agent page says no long-term contract is required, but your software order form has its own term and an early-ending charge, so read that separately.
Is CoveDesk a live receptionist service?
No. CoveDesk is a phone answering service: a trained voice assistant, set up and run by our team, that picks up in your business’s name at any hour. Callers hear a short notice at the start of the call.
